Jennifer Joyce's Pico Boulevard studio provides a relaxing haven
for artists of all skill levels to disappear into a quiet, non-threatening
environment and work with clay. There is a playfulness to working
with clay, and that feeling is fostered and encouraged in the studio.
The studio, equipped with a slab roller, extruder, 3 potters wheels
and 2 kilns, offers small classes to children or adults. Classes
teach ceramic handbuilding to all skill levels, from beginner to
advanced. Students learn to make functional, sculptural or
abstract work out of clay with these or a wide assortment of tools,
stamps and textures.
Studio classes are available in a range of packages, and costs
include up to 25 pounds of white earthenware clay per series, all
necessary glazes and firing.
